I offer communications consulting, workshop/course facilitation, report writing, event coordination, hosting and other communication needs. I am a proud member of Peguis First Nation and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Growing up in Winnipeg's inner-city, moving around with my sisters and mother from the west end to the very north of Manitoba, I could adjust to many situations because of my ever-changing environment. This helped give me a base to be an excellent communicator. Early in my career (early 2000s), I started out in customer service for The Dufresne Group, and after a one-year maternity leave, I applied for and was accepted to Creative Communications at Red River College. Graduating in 2011, majoring in my second year in public relations. After school, I worked in Winnipeg’s North End, focusing on food security. Facilitating, organizing and coordinating hundreds of workshops/classes for the North End Food Security Network. I have been doing various communications, workshops and designs for (mostly) Indigenous organizations and businesses since 2010. After my time in the North End, I worked in communications for the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, creating Manitoba's very own First Nations Chiefs Map of Manitoba. Since 2019, I have solely been a contractor and working in various communication capacities, including the delivery of (virtual & in-person) courses and workshops in Northern Manitoba, including; communication, collaboration and technology. I am looking to expand my map and go outside of Manitoba for interesting and creative opportunities. Please feel free to reach out with any questions! |
